SCITT Programme

Our School-Centred Initial Teacher Training (SCITT) programme is an excellent opportunity for graduates and career changers to join the teaching profession. At Manor Primary we have a proven track record and we are proud to partner with Barr Beacon SCITT, an outstanding and experienced accredited provider in our area. We believe in local partnerships to develop teachers for our region. Our aim is to enable trainees to meet the requirements of QTS and become inspirational, talented and dedicated teachers who are passionate about influencing the future of the children they teach.

Hands on from the word go

You’ll be given in-depth experience in the classroom with placements in two local schools. You will also have the opportunity to complete intensive training and practice placements (ITAPs) to deepen your knowledge in specific areas of pedagogy.

Support of experts

Away from the classroom, you will receive practical training sessions from highly experienced teachers who are also part of the early career framework (ECF) training provision. So you will have people around you who also understand that next step in your career. You will receive regular mentoring by experienced professionals helping you to plan, deliver and refine your classroom activities.

We hope to welcome you

We are looking to recruit ambitious graduates who can demonstrate potential and show strong commitment. Our SCITT Programme is for individuals who are willing to work hard and are passionate about training to teach and work in primary schools across Wolverhampton and the Black Country.
