Unswerving commitment

David Coles has been chair of Governors of Manor Primary for 20+ years and Chair of Manor MAT for 8 years. He had dedicated his time voluntary to our organisation working alongside leaders to transform life chances for thousands of children.

He has been instrumental in driving changes at Manor Primary (3 form entry Primary School in Wolverhampton) into an outstanding school that is now consistently one of the best performing schools nationally and has been for more than a decade, from a below average starting point.

He has chaired Manor MAT Trust, as chair of directors creating a trust that is committed to leading by example and lives by its unswerving commitment to integrity, transparency and excellence. The first two schools to join the trust was East Park and Hill Avenue, both schools were special measures schools and both served communities of very high level s of deprivation. Within one inspection cycle under his leadership of the trust, carefully channeling resources and support into both of these school were judged by OFSTED as outstanding in all areas, transforming the educational life changes of 1000 children across these two schools.

It is his intention that every child who attends a school within our MAT attends a “Great School.”  That all pupils are nurtured, inspired and receive the very best education possible and he drives and leads this across our board of Directors.

His goal is to ensure that every member of staff receives the highest quality professional development and tailored support so they can be to be the best they can be and he is relentless in ensuring this happens.

His drive, commitment and enthusiasm is inspirational to our board of directors, our heads and leaders across out trust. He creates positive energy and generates enthusiasm within our schools.
