We were thrilled to host our second Raising Standards in Reading conference today at Manor MAT, and what an incredible energy in the room! With every seat filled, it is clear how dedicated our regional educators are to accelerating progress for every child.
As part of the DfE RISE Universal Offer, today's session provided a deep dive into evidence-informed strategies to transform reading outcomes across KS1 and KS2. Participants explored:
Evidence-Informed Practice: Applying EEF guidance to drive real classroom improvement.
Fluency and Comprehension: Strategies to deepen understanding and accelerate progress.
Vocabulary Development: Practical ways to close the word gap through explicit instruction.
Live Observations: Seeing high-impact, effective practice in action at the Manor Teaching School Hub.
It was inspiring to see leaders and teachers collaborating on how to embed these strategies into school improvement plans.
Note to our followers: Our RISE-funded sessions are proving incredibly popular! Today was fully booked, and the vast majority of our upcoming dates for Writing and EYFS Literacy are now at capacity. Thank you for such an overwhelming response to this initiative!
